Our cat, Doodle, is a "street special". Adopted from the pound when very, very young, she is now 17 human years old (we think) and as you can see from this photograph, has a definite "sense of self". I innocently walked by Doodle whilst she was in midst of grooming activities, and her response to my intrusion was to freeze and give me "the stink eye", hence its title, "What?"
